Here’s an adventure trek to a falls! Don’t miss out experiencing jumping  from the cliff.

This is found in the mountainous part of one of the barangay in Jasaan Misamis Oriental. If you and your friends prefer to go for an adventure, this would be a perfect fit for you. You will be of great surprise with the natural attraction’s beauty.

Aside from its astonishing beauty, it actually has a story to tell.

Sagpulon falls is one of the best attractions that best describes not just the municipality of Jasaan but also the whole Misamis Oriental, for the reason that, it is known to be a living testament to how people in Misamis Oriental dusted themselves off, and moved forward after the life changing catastrophe. That is because of the super typhoon which hit Misamis Oriental and damage some of its natural rock formation and other facilities, ofcourse with the help of the local government, they turn it into a mini pool and renuvated it in which will people benefit from it.

And that was indeed a reminder for us to really preserve and nurture the few surviving wonders of nature. Not just for the sake of today, but for future generations to enjoy its beauty just as how we are enjoying it now.

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CHURCH OF JASAAN

Jasaan Misamis Oriental is also known to be a home of rich culture and heritage. The Immaculate Conception Church of Jasaan was declared as a National Cultural Treasure in whole Northern Mindanao by the National Museum.

Why does it looked like an old church?

The face of the old church was actually not like before because they have done a series of renovations to maintain its beauty. But the bells, the interior design of the church was maintained undisturbed.

PHILIPPINE SAILFIN LIZARD FOUND IN JASAAN MISAMIS ORIENTAL

I was really amazed with the story behind why these lizards came all the way in a small village of Barangay Solana, Jasaan Misamis Oriental. People were amazed because these lizards were only found in the rivers in the tropical forest.

The Philippine Sailfin Lizard, commonly known as “ibid” is very famous because it is only found in one of the barangays of Jasaan which is Barangay Solana, here you can find a large number of sailfin lizards that co-exist in the community.

A very unusual phenomenon for Sailfin Lizards

Experts have said that it is unlikely for the lizards to become friendly with humans. The sailfin lizards there has close interactions with humans. You can see them close and feed them as well.

Explorers around the country and even around the globe have come to visit these lizards and they were even featured on different TV programs namely; Geographic World, Matanglawin, Born to be wild & also in magazines.
