Camiguin Island, Philippines
Last summer, me and my boyfriend spent our summer time in the small island of Camiguin. We actually rented a motorcycle for a road trip in the entire island passing through some of the island’s famous destinations. You can really enjoy the island’s scenic landscapes and winding route.
Motoring along the road, we stopped by Katibawasan falls, one of the falls found in the small island of Camiguin in which you don’t have to go for a trek or long walks to get there. Once you arrived at the place, it is just few steps away.
You’ll be welcomed with how long the falls is. It is also surrouded with different rock formations, green plants and trees.
Yumbing was our next stop, which you can widely see the White Island and watch the sunset. You will be in love upon watching small boats in the ocean and waiting for the sun to set.
The sky almost turn dark. We slowly make our way to Mt. Hibok-hibok Ardent Hot Spring, get relaxed with the spring’s warmth.
If there’s a cold spring, yes! Time for hot spring. Perfect time for a hot spring swimming is on the evening. Tourists often visit the place by evening because it will make you feel relax before you sleep.
Camiguin Island Must-See Attractions
Camiguin was called the Island born of fire. It is such a crowd-pleasing place to visit to. Tourists come and visit the island more often because of its beautiful beaches and resorts, relaxing waterfalls, surrounded with prestine bodies of water, both hot and cold springs, rich marine life and to mention a few.
It is a small island, you can just tour around the island in a day or two, depends if you still want to visit the island’s unique destination. It may be small but I tell you there’s a lot of destinations to explore and enjoy with. Here are other attractions you must see;
- Mantigue Island
Mantigue is where you can find the rich marine life of the island, adding to its beauty is the green trees surrounding in it. There’s a lot of experience you have to try, a whole lot of experience for those who love to go for water activities. You can try snorkeling, diving and witness yourself the beauty underwater.
You also don’t have to worry for food because there are foods you can actually buy in the island
- Camiguin White Island
You cannot not visit this powdery white sandbar, Camiguin White Island. The white island’s crystal-clear water really invites you to swim. You can also enjoy boating around, explore the beauty of the island and watch the volcanoes which is clearly visible.
- Sto. Niño Cold Spring
This place is perfect for summer time. You can enjoy the ice-cold spring and swim for hours, if you can carry its coldness. This is a place for a family bonding!

Upon visiting places, you should also have to buy something that is made or famous in the place that serves as your remembrance for visiting the island. Here are some pasalubong for your friends and family;
Vjandep Pastel
This one is the top famous delicacies in the island. It is famous for its deliciousness. You can actually buy one of these inside a mall but its way cheaper buying in the island.
Camiguin T-Shirts
One of the island’s product is the shirt souvenirs. Tourist bought shirts to tell everyone that they are one of many people who love this beautiful island.
